A mask can be defined by any of the tools that you see when you right-click whilst in Local Adjustment mode. The term “mask” in PL refers to an area to which local adjustment setting(s) can be applied. PhotoLab does not have the concept of a “layer” (which, of itself, implies a prescribed order of things).
HOW TO USE DXO PHOTOLAB 2 IN LIGHTROOM INSTALL
If you haven’t installed it yet you’ll see a blue Install button. Below you’ll see a list of available Adobe apps. Open the Creative Cloud app and go to the Apps tab. If the filters do not appear in Lightroom then a manual installation may be necessary. Un-checking this box will make all of the plug-ins appear in the Photo > Edit In menu. This option is in Edit > Preferences > Presets OR Lightroom > Preferences > Presets. This can work as a standalone program but also integrates seamlessly with DxO PhotoLab once installed to offer these perspective corrections within the PhotoLab interface.

This works on its own but also integrates into the PhotoLab interface. Is DxO PhotoLab 4 a stand alone software? It can also export processed images to Photoshop or Lightroom, and its functionality can be extended by DxO’s own ViewPoint, FilmPack and Nik Collection plugins. If you prefer to use another app to manage your catalog, DxO PhotoLab can function as a plugin for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic. Apply one of the available film or creative renderings, adjust any advanced settings if necessary, and then click on Save at the bottom right of the workspace.

Go to the Filter > DxO Labs menu, then select DxO FilmPack. Modify the corrections in DxO PhotoLab as you wish (the corrections you made previously have of course been saved). Go to the File menu and select Plug-in Extras > Transfer to DxO PhotoLab.
